Los Fresnos area residents no longer need to go out of town to take care of their loved ones who have gone to another world.
A new funeral home is open to the public and it will offer competitive prices in an industry mostly dominated by large corporations.
The average cost of burying the deceased averages from $5,000 to $7,000 in this part of the country.
Owner Belia Ornelas, Los Fresnos Funeral Home has a full line of burial & cremation services and packages.
“We are going to have competitive prices,” she said.
“We also like to get involved locally in the community as we believe in giving back to the community.”
During the two years the building the funeral home has been remodeled, Belia has given several thousands of toys and shoes to needy children. The give-aways are handled through a local Baptist church and the school district.
Belia stated choosing Los Fresnos was very easy because of the people, the area and its excellent schools.
