Vicente Guerrero, Jr., a dedicated retiree from Cameron County Park Maintenance, passed away on June 26, 2024, in Harlingen, Texas. Vicente was born on January 31, 1945, in Port Isabel, Texas.
In his lifetime, Vicente was a cherished member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. He found joy in sports, music, following the Dallas Cowboys and the Port Isabel Tarpon football games, and reading the newspaper.
Vicente Guerrero, Jr. is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Herculana Guerrero; his son Vicente (Leticia) Guerrero III; daughter Sonia Guerrero; daughter Yolanda (Neil) Robertson, and son Manuel (Alicia) Guerrero. eight grandchildren: Justin & Charles Robertson, Jessica Ramirez & Vicente Guerrero IV, Sofia Guerrero, Paola Jurado, Pricilla Guerrero, and Manny Guerrero; as well as six great-grandchildren: Carlitos Guerrero Ramirez, Jr., Camila Guerrero, Eli Guerrero, Adam & Alex Jurado, and Ayden Rodriguez . He is also survived by his brother Jose Rivera and sister Guadalupe Cantu.
Vicente was preceded in death by his parents Vicente Guerrero Sr. and Manuela Villareal Guerrero. He joins in eternal rest with his brothers Juan Rivera, Antonio Rivera, Roberto Rivera, Carlos Rivera, and his son Jesus Guerrero.
Vicente's warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Services to honor and celebrate Vicente's life will be held at Los Fresnos Funeral Home on July 1st for visitation from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm. Additional services include a Mass at St. Cecilia Catholic Church on July 2nd at 10:00 AM followed by burial at Los Cuates Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
Vicente passed away surrounded by his family, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories that will keep his spirit alive for generations to come. May he rest in eternal peace.
