Sol Yvette Rodriguez

Sol Yvette Rodriguez, age 47, of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was born on June 18, 1977, in San Benito, Texas, to Praxedis Rodriguez Jr. and Maria G. Rodriguez. A dedicated educator, Sol spent 15 years working with children, including five years with Los Fresnos CISD, and most recently teaching at Old McDonald Daycare, where she touched the lives of many children and families. She had a passion for arts and crafts, often sharing her creativity with those around her.

Sol is preceded in death by her father, Praxedis Rodriguez Jr.

She is survived by her loving family, including her loving spouse, Irene Martinez; siblings: Angie Ramirez (Daniel), Praxedis Rodriguez III (Carmen), Esteban Rodriguez (Amanda), and Olivia Castillo (Oscar+). Sol also leaves behind her cherished nephews and nieces: Odessa Ramirez, Yurivia Castillo, Praxedis Rodriguez IV, Mia Ramirez, Oscar Castillo, Esteban Rodriguez, Esai Rodriguez, Nicolas Castillo, Sebastian Castillo, Adrian Rodriguez, Aaron Rodriguez, Gael Rodriguez, and Alejandro Castillo; along with her great-nephew, Lorenzo Valdimir Rodriguez, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer of the holy rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Los Fresnos Funeral Home. Services will conclude Wednesday evening.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Los Fresnos Funeral Home, located at 1005 S. Arroyo Blvd., Los Fresnos, Texas.

Sol will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the positive impact she had on everyone who knew her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
