Ramon Escareño, Sr.

Ramon Escareño Sr., 69 years old of Los Fresnos, Texas entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 17, 2023 with members of his family by his side.  He was born on August 11, 1953 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, to Martin Escareño and Amalia Hernandez.  He was a loving father, committed husband, gentle grandfather and a kind human being.  He served the Los Fresnos community for 20 years as a proud Los Fresnos CISD school bus driver.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mauricia T. Escareño.  Surviving to cherish his memory are his children: Issac (Crystal) Escareño, Amalia E. (Eduardo) Liceaga, and Ramon (Jennifer) Escareño, Jr.  His nine surviving grandchildren are: Issac Jr, Lorraine, Priscilla, Emma, Paulette, Ramon III, Sofia, and Victoria. Left behind are his two siblings, Gaspar Escareño and Sara Garcia. 

Visitations begins on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Chapel service at 2:00 p.m. here at Los Fresnos Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Los Cuates cemetery in Los Fresnos, Tx.  Serving as Pallbearers will be: Issac Escareño, Issac Escareño Jr., Ramon Escareño, Eduardo Liceaga, Jesus Rodriguez, Wayne Ponce, Jesse Garcia, Ramon Garcia, and Martin Garcia.  Honorary Pallbearer: Ramon Escareño III.
