Ramon V. Moreno

Ramon V. Moreno, aged 79, of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away on December 1, 2024 He was born on May 22, 1945, in Los Fresnos to Jose Sostenes Moreno and Anita Vasquez Moreno. Ramon was a dedicated individual who earned his welding certificate from Texas Southmost College and furthered his education with a Livestock Breeding Degree from Texas A&M University. With over 20 years of experience as a swine farmer, he contributed significantly to his community and embraced a life filled with hard work.

In addition to his professional achievements, Ramon found great joy in his hobbies, including gardening, fishing, and photography, which brought him peace and happiness throughout his life.

Ramon is preceded in death by his beloved parents; his siblings, Eudelia Caraveo, Eulalia Moreno, Ovilia Moreno Tapia, and Hijino Moreno. He is survived by his devoted wife, Eva Moreno; his children, Elisa Moreno (Kathryn), Ramon Moreno Jr. (Rosanna), Celia Moreno, Jose Angel Moreno (Elisa), and Aron Moreno (Amy); along with 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, with another grandchild on the way.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Lozano, Texas. Interment will follow at the Moreno Family Cemetery.

Ramon's legacy will be honored by pallbearers Caleb Moreno, Ramon Moreno III, Elijah Moreno, Justin Andrews Moreno, Christian Dominguez, and Dustin Quiroga. Honorary pallbearers include Ramon Moreno Jr., Jose Angel Moreno, and Aron Moreno.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Brajesh Bhatla and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care during this time.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Los Fresnos Funeral Home, located at 1005 S. Arroyo Blvd., Los Fresnos, Texas.

Ramon V. Moreno will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
