Nicholas Jay Jones

November 11, 1987 — March 2, 2023

Bayview, Texas

Nicholas Jay Jones passed away on a beautiful, sunny morning – 3/2/23. He was surrounded by loving family and friends. The insidious cancer that desecrated his body finally took it’s toll.   He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Jones and grandparents, Kenneth and Helen Jones, of Madison Wisconsin.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Carol Holman of Bayview TX.  His Big Sister, Casey/Michael Weaver of Dallas TX.  Grandparents Dorothy/Gerald Holman of Bayview TX, Aunt Sandy/Mike Falk , Uncle Thomas/Julie Holman of Wisconsin and Uncle Peter/Stephanie Holman of Washington. Numerous cousins from Wisconsin, California and Hawaii. A Brother from Another Mother – Mr. Israel/Yvette Silguero.

Special thanks to his wonderful entourage of people – including Ms Noemi Farias of San Benito, Angel Cristhian Oferra of Elsa, Ms. Lynette Torres of Weslaco, Will and Juanita/Santos Rameriz of Rio Hondo, Jorge/Becky Aguilar-Martinez of Los Fresnos, and Ms. Laura/Virgilio Aniceto of Weslaco. Lady and Juan Pedro – his faithful canine companions. Thanks to everyone at Elara Hospice, especially Nurse Ryan Davis, for all the compassionate and caring attention received thru these difficult last months, and Dr. Laura Trehaggan

Nick grew up in the forests and farms of Wisconsin where he graduated from Waunakee High School in 2006. He was a Winter Texan for many years enjoying the beach life and Spring Breaks of SPI before moving full time to the farm in Bayview TX.

Nick was always a positive force in people’s lives. He touched so many people in his 35 short years.  He taught us all to be compassionate and kind, to overcome adversity with a strength and resilience that was to be admired. His smile and twinkling blue eyes could light up any room with pure joy.  He was an infectious trickster with a mischievous side that could make anyone laugh and smile.

Nick enjoyed people. People enjoyed Nick. He will live on in the hearts and memories of so many.

Thank you for sharing your life with us Nick Jones. We love you so much and miss you terribly everyday .We are all forever changed for having known your beautiful soul. Peace.  Love you.
