Michael L. Harris

Michael Harris, age 73, of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away on March 19, 2025, in Brownsville, Texas. He was born on October 26, 1951, to Lloyd and Jane Harris and was a proud graduate of New Berlin High School.

Michael is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Melanie Butler. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, Leticia P. Harris; his daughters, Cheryl Schy (Tony) and Eva Mendoza (Gerardo Guerrero); his son, Luis Mendoza (Leslie Morales). He will also be dearly remembered by his brother, Mark Harris (Diane), as well as his grandchildren: Jacob Butler, Justin Schy (Irene), Allison Hodge (Brandon), and Alexa Guerrero. Michael was also a cherished great-grandfather to Theo Schy.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a service at 4:30 p.m. at Los Fresnos Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Los Fresnos Funeral Home, located at 1005 S. Arroyo Blvd., Los Fresnos, Texas.
