Javier Roque

Javier Roque, age 57, of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1967, in Weslaco, Texas, to Vicente Roque and Maria Villanueva Roque. With a dedicated spirit, Javier devoted over 20 years of his life to serving as a Twin City Shrimp Boat Captain, exemplifying hard work and commitment in his profession.

Javier is survived by his loving wife, Josefina Roque; son, Javier Roque Jr. (Perla); daughter, Maria Guadalupe Roque (Adrian Rico); and his cherished grandchildren, Sophia Roque, Samara Roque, Lonzo Roque, Paola Rico, and Ixzel Rico. He is also survived by his siblings: Angel Roque, Mario Roque, Marta De Angel, Hugo De Angel, Talina Del Angel, and Juana Marroquin.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos, Texas.

The family is honored to have the following individuals serve as pallbearers: Javier Roque Jr., Isail Ortigoza, Raul Mora, Adrian Ledezma, Javier Colunga, John Ramirez, and Justin Cantu.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Los Fresnos Funeral Home, located at 1005 S. Arroyo Blvd., Los Fresnos, Texas.

Javier Roque will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his profession, leaving behind a legacy of love and hard work.
