Carol Ann Holman

Carol A. Holman, 71, of Bayview, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. She was born December 24, 1951, in Menomonie, Wisconsin to Gerald and Dorothy Holman. Carol’s life started on Christmas Eve. She was the oldest of four children and was described as independent, adventurous, creative, and intelligent. She carried these characteristics throughout her
life. As a child she often brought home stray animals and continued to do so wherever she went, giving the best life to many beloved dogs and cats. She had a unique quality to connect with others, brightening the day of anyone she encountered. People were drawn to her smile, easy going attitude, and playful nature.

Carol acquired her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She was a Dane Co. Social Worker helping children and families for over 20 years. After retirement she and her son Nick wintered on South Padre Island, enjoying the island life before moving full time to her citrus farm in Bayview. Carol was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Often referred to as an angel, Carol was one to easily share kindness, encouragement, and love to those around her. She found joy in
spending time with her children (Nick and Casey), family, friends, and her animals, gardening, cooking, quilting, reading, and volunteering at her local library. Carol is dearly missed. She will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Jones. Carol is survived by her daughter, Casey (Mike) Weaver; siblings, Peter (Stephanie) Holman, Tom (Julie) Holman, and Sandra (Mike) Falk; along with her nieces, nephews, many close friends, and her animal pack.
